Censorship (SEN-sor-ship) n.: I can't handle your truth, so I'm not letting you say that. I'm sheltered, so everyone else has to be sheltered too. I can't handle the truth, so no one can know the truth. I'm afraid of words because I can't get this rod out of my rear. Don't say those words.

I hope you all realize the importance of communication, the neccessity that we be allowed to speak our minds without fear of retribution for our thoughts. What happens when we get to the point where we fear what we think? Read 1984, by George Orwell. That's what our censorship will lead to. And what happens when this fear of offense, of someone not liking us consumes our very beings, to the point where the word "I" itself is illegal to utter on the streets. Read Anthem, by Ayn Rand. Don't let them get you.

I only bend to this oppression due to the fact that I'd rather have some of my message get out, than none of it at all.
